In recent years, I have been conducting qualitative studies to learn more about certain key processes in the life of a developer. The outcome of such studies is generally immaterial: it is not a downloadable tool (for that, see my project page), but a better understanding of the processes studied and even guidelines to improve these processes. This part of my web site is dedicated to these studies and is an attempt to extract the most practical aspects of what we learned about:
- How experienced developers integrate software development projects.
- How open source contributors create and maintain developer documentation and how this type of documentation is used by the developers.
